Job Summary

Drive the end-to-end closing process for complex Commercial Real Estate (CRE) loan transactions, ensuring due diligence, documentation integrity, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Partner with lenders, borrowers, legal teams, Credit Administration, and other stakeholders to resolve issues, mitigate exceptions, and finalize accurate closing statements and system-of-record updates. Provide leadership to deal teams, mentor junior closers, and improve loan closing efficiency while maintaining strong risk management.

Key Responsibilities

•Initiate and drive the commercial loan closing process, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and completeness of documentation for complex CRE transactions.
•Oversee due diligence and pre-closing items (e.g., flood determinations, insurance, title commitments), coordinate reviews, and prepare closing statements and system-of-record forms.
•Clear outstanding post-closing items and collateral exceptions, ensure loan/customer information accuracy, and coordinate resolution with Commercial Loan Servicing.
•Provide leadership and guidance to deal teams, mitigate issues/questions elevated to management, and train/mentor junior loan closers.
•Implement quality control measures, resolve complex lending issues, mitigate risks, and recommend process improvements to enhance closing efficiency.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree.
•7+ years in commercial loan closing or commercial loan administration.
•Ensure accurate review and interpretation of deal structures and legal documentation for CRE transactions.
•Demonstrate strong communication with lenders, borrowers, and internal/external teams.
•Serve as a control point for compliance requirements during the closing process (e.g., Flood and OFAC).
