Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead multidisciplinary teams to address MSEN transmissions technical issues and integrate gearbox designs, presenting results to customers and executive leadership.
  • •Perform comprehensive gear design and analysis across spur, helical, bevel, and spiral bevel gear types using automated tools, FEA, and hand calculations.
  • •Lead transmission root cause investigation efforts, directing work, assigning/closing action items, and delivering findings to engineering leadership.
  • •Review engineers’ work and provide hands-on guidance to accelerate proficiency.
  • •Lead full-lifecycle test programs, including rig development, test planning, instrumentation/limit selection, predictions, data processing, and reporting.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or related) with 8 years of gear design and analysis, or an advanced degree with 5 years of gear design and analysis experience.
  • •3+ years of direct experience working with complex Mechanical Systems hardware using industry-standard gear design and manufacturing tools.
  • •Proficiency with Gleason Works software and Siemens NX.
  • •Exceptional communication, task coordination, and cross-functional leadership skills.
  • •Active U.S. Government security clearance (preferred).
