Key Responsibilities

  • •Write functional and design specifications for EOS features related to forwarding traffic in internet and cloud data centers.
  • •Independently implement C/C++ solutions for small EOS problems and contribute to larger routing-protocol solutions on the team.
  • •Create test plan specifications for EOS features and implement automated test programs to execute those test cases.
  • •Debug issues found by automated tests and provide fixes, including partnering with Customer Support Engineers and System Test Engineers for problem analysis and resolution.
  • •Mentor new and junior engineers, and help schedule implementation/debugging tasks while reporting progress to the project lead.

Key Requirements

  • •BSc, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering, with 5+ years of related post-graduate work experience.
  • •Knowledge of C and/or C++.
  • •Knowledge of UNIX or Linux.
  • •Strong software engineering fundamentals with an understanding of networking (L2, L3, and commercial switching HW fundamentals).
  • •Ability to write functional/design specifications, test plans, and implement automated tests.
