Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct laboratory tests and sampling/analyses to ensure cement products meet specifications (e.g., ASTM, AASHTO).
  • •Perform chemical and/or physical tests on raw materials and fuels to determine product quality.
  • •Monitor and adjust process/quality parameters and notify the Site Manager of any out-of-specification samples or problems.
  • •Operate, cross-check, and perform minor repairs to laboratory equipment; maintain laboratory inventory.
  • •Maintain clean work areas, follow plant safety/environmental policies, and assist production in emergencies as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •High school graduation or equivalent is preferred.
  • •Minimum 1 year of experience performing relevant tests in a cement laboratory environment is preferred.

  • •Knowledge of chemical testing (wet chemical analysis) and physical testing procedures.
  • •Ability to operate laboratory equipment (e.g., balances, muffle furnace, physical testing equipment) and understand technical directions and warning labels.
