Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

•Be a key member of Forterra’s Hardware Integration Team and contribute to the integration of the AutoDrive system across hardware components.
•Complete mechanical designs within system constraints and produce drawing packages, work instructions, and test procedures.
•Be hands-on with the vehicle architecture, troubleshoot hardware systems, and identify improvement areas.
•Analyze designs for DFM, DFA, and cost, and participate in design reviews and technical discussions.
•Collaborate with electrical and software teams to satisfy system requirements and ensure manufacturability and reliability.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 115,000 - 130,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
•4+ years of experience in basic mechanical design
•CAD experience with Autodesk Inventor and understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
•Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams (hardware, electrical, software) to meet system requirements
•Experience with design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) and cost considerations
