Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform archaeological fieldwork, laboratory analysis, and documentation for cultural resource projects.
  • •Process recovered artifacts by washing, cataloging, and marking items for curation.
  • •Fill out and maintain required field and laboratory forms, including mapping and site documentation.
  • •Support supervisors as needed, including graphic support, writing, travel coordination, paperwork organization, and equipment preparation.

Key Requirements

  • •Valid U.S. Driver’s License required to visit project sites and other AECOM offices; must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review
  • •U.S. Citizenship is required due to the nature of the work
  • •Knowledge of basic field excavation techniques and ability to process (wash, catalog, and mark) recovered archaeological artifacts
  • •Ability to properly fill out field and laboratory forms, including pedestrian walkovers and excavation of shovel test pits, test units, and features
