Job Summary

Apply CORE industrial engineering principles to optimize Fan Blade production processes for an aerospace transformation team. Plan and track manufacturing of flight components, run time studies and process capability analysis to improve labor utilization and throughput, and develop standardized work, capacity models, and cell layouts for assembly and material handling. Drive continuous improvement using Lean and Six Sigma, make equipment/tooling/material decisions, and collaborate across Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering Operations, and Quality.

Key Responsibilities

•Optimize Fan Blade production processes using CORE industrial engineering principles.
•Plan and track manufacturing for aerospace flight components involving sheet metals and fiber reinforced composites.
•Conduct time studies, work sampling, and process capability analyses to improve throughput and reduce bottlenecks.
•Develop standardized work, workflow optimization strategies, and capacity models for production planning and resource allocation.
•Design and plan cell layouts; define requirements for equipment, tooling, and materials, including make-or-buy and facility layout decisions; apply Lean and Six Sigma continuous improvement and interface with Engineering/Quality.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 5+ years of experience, or a Master's degree with 3+ years in engineering/manufacturing operations/materials management/quality or a closely related environment.
•Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes.
•Experience applying industrial engineering methods to manufacturing operations.
•Microsoft Office suite skills (PowerPoint, Project, and Excel).
•Ability to lead transformation and process improvement work (project management and communications preferred).
