Key Responsibilities

  • •Prepare technical analysis and design, including cost estimating and quantity calculations.
  • •Prepare and review drawings and presentation materials.
  • •Manage contract specifications and documentation.
  • •Coordinate with discipline team members to support highway/freeway design work.
  • •Assist senior engineers with project work and deliver against Canada engineering standards (training/guidance provided when needed).

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s or post graduate degree in Civil Engineering with 7-10 years postgraduate experience with a consultancy or developer.
  • •Experience across all aspects of highway/freeway design, including alignments, geometrics, staging, utilities, roadside safety, and contract specifications/documents.
  • •Strong ability to use relevant software packages such as Civil 3D, OpenRoads, Inroads (a plus), Microstation, CAD, and Microsoft Office.
  • •Strong technical writing and ability to prepare minutes and design-level effort estimates to meet milestone deliverables.
  • •General understanding of traffic engineering principles and solid QA/QC knowledge, with awareness of Environmental Health and Safety practices.
