Key Responsibilities

  • •Carry out sea, port, and anchor watches, including steering and lookout duties in manual steering situations.
  • •Perform daily cleaning and daily maintenance for mooring winches and forward anchors and deck anchor-handling equipment.
  • •Maintain watertight doors and fans in accommodation and on deck.
  • •Maintain mooring, anchors, lifeboat winches, lifeboats, and mooring/lifeboat ropes and wires.
  • •Maintain superstructure decks and aft deck areas, including washing and cleaning, and grease ballast valves; handle ship access and gangway controls.

Key Requirements

  • •Certificate in performing navigational watch keeping (II/4) from an approved nautical institute.
  • •Minimum 2 years experience as an able bodied seaman on board anchor handling tugs on offshore oilfields.
  • •Good understanding of safe practices related to anchor handling and towing operations.
  • •Good English communication skills.
