Key Responsibilities

  • •Administer and maintain HPC infrastructure including compute nodes, storage servers, and high-speed interconnects (InfiniBand), plus hardware health monitoring and availability.
  • •Configure and tune HPC schedulers (Slurm/PBS/LSF/Grid Engine), enforce fair-share/QoS and preemption policies, and prevent resource misuse.
  • •Manage user access, security, and compliance including accounts/permissions/storage quotas, secure SSH with MFA, OS patching, and vulnerability fixes.
  • •Install and manage engineering solver and software stack licenses (e.g., ANSYS, Siemens, NASTRAN), environment modules, and performance-critical components.
  • •Monitor and optimize performance (utilization, queue waits, failures), troubleshoot job/sovler issues, manage storage/data lifecycle, and perform capacity planning and strategy input.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or related field.
  • •3–7 years administering Linux-based HPC clusters.
  • •Strong knowledge of HPC schedulers (Slurm/PBS/LSF).
  • •Experience with MPI, OpenMP, and distributed computing.
  • •Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python) and experience with parallel file systems and high-speed networking.
