Partner with principal and coaches to adapt course content, communicate regularly with students and learning coaches/parents, and prepare students for standardized tests. Work from home with occasional travel for testing and professional development.

•Provide rich and engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for students in an online environment.
•Differentiate instruction by student mastery and personalize learning for all students.
•Maintain gradebook, ensure academic integrity, and use data to support placement, promotion decisions, and alerts to administrators.
•Communicate with students and learning coaches/parents and troubleshoot curricular and instructional issues in a virtual classroom.
•Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests and travel occasionally for testing and professional development.

Key Requirements

•North Carolina Middle School ELA Teaching Certification required.
•Bachelor’s degree.
•Active state teaching license.
•Ability to clear required background check.
•Must reside in North Carolina.
