Key Responsibilities

  • •Own month-end close checklist to ensure deadlines, accurate ledger entries, and ASPE compliance.
  • •Manage general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations, including chart of accounts and supporting documentation.
  • •Prepare audit documentation and lead year-end and interim audits as the main point of contact for external auditors.
  • •Analyze monthly financial results, investigate material variances, and present findings to the Director of Finance and the CFO.
  • •Support expense tracking, budgeting and departmental P&L, tax compliance, and process improvements using AI tools.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
  • •3+ years of accounting experience, ideally with exposure to both a large accounting firm and industry.
  • •CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
  • •Proficiency with Excel and comfort using AI tools for analysis and documentation.
  • •Knowledge of ASPE and IFRS, plus familiarity with Canadian tax laws (US/Australia exposure is an asset).
