Key Responsibilities

  • •Diligently verify basic data, design specifications, and standards of major plant equipment installed by EPC contractors in NOMAC power and desalination projects.
  • •Develop “Scope of Work” for functional requirements and equipment specifications when modifications must be performed by outsourced agencies.
  • •Support plant management by responding to contractor technical queries and clarifications related to specifications.
  • •Assist plant O&M crews in analyzing critical system upsets/operating problems and recommending measures to prevent recurrence.
  • •Perform Residual Life Assessment (RLA) studies for major plant equipment and recommend corrective actions to extend lifespan and improve economic utilization.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor degree of Engineering.
  • •Minimum 16 years (with Bachelor degree) in O&M of major co-generation plants (combined cycle power generation and MED+SWRO desalination) in a senior position.
  • •Alternatively, Ph.D. with 10 years relevant O&M experience in major co-generation plants (combined cycle power generation and MED+SWRO desalination) with sound chemical, biological, and metallurgical backgrounds.
  • •Extensive practical exposure to power generation and desalination (MED and SWRO) plants, including reviewing plant designs and performing engineering calculations and system/protection analyses.
  • •Proficient with MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Project, plus English communication, reporting, and presentation skills.
