Key Responsibilities

  • •Carry out research and analysis for planning policy projects and contribute to elements of policy commissions and strategy development.
  • •Assist in formulating strategic planning advice for client and internal teams, including support for local authority policy and strategy development.
  • •Provide representation for the organization by developing and managing relationships with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders, including conference and networking attendance.
  • •Assist Project Managers to deliver projects successfully on budget and within programme timelines, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams.
  • •Implement and uphold quality assurance and health and safety principles, and support business development activities including commercial tender preparation.

Key Requirements

  • •Relevant experience contributing to planning policy and strategy development in a consultancy or public sector role.
  • •Degree in Town Planning or a related discipline, and membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) or an equivalent professional body (or working towards membership).
  • •Client focus with good interpersonal skills and a collaborative working approach.
  • •Ability to produce high quality technical reports and excellent communication skills.
  • •Ability to work on your own initiative and under pressure.
