Key Responsibilities

  • •Supervise the Directional Drilling (DD) process on-site, including projecting well paths to predetermined target coordinates.
  • •Support BHA selection and ensure BHA components are assembled as planned, including correct make-up torque and handling.
  • •Perform and assist with survey calculations and well path projections, update well profile plots, and provide accurate directional survey data to the client.
  • •Complete daily DD reporting, BHA performance reports, service tickets, and relevant paperwork (including well data and KPI forms).
  • •Interface with the MWD engineer to ensure BHA compatibility and that operating parameters and toolface references meet specifications.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalent.
  • •Minimum of two years of field experience in Directional Drilling, L/MWD, or SDL.
  • •Understand principles of Bottom Hole assembly (BHA) selection and DD performance.
  • •Proficiency using DD computer software to support advice, analysis, and survey calculations.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline is preferred.
