Job Summary

Experienced Staff Electrical Safety Engineer driving electrical safety and compliance for the Apollo humanoid robot. Own strategy for requirements, design, and testing of electrical systems; review PCBA designs for safety and industry standards; develop documentation for HARA, DFMEA, MTTFd, and PFH; collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams; mentor engineers and manage vendor relationships throughout the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

•Define electrical requirements, design processes, and test strategy to ensure Apollo meets system- and product-level requirements.
•Review system electrical architecture and PCBA designs for safety, compliance, and industry best practices; ensure creepages, clearances, wire sizing, components, and protection methods are followed.
•Develop documentation and perform calculations associated with HARA, DFMEA, MTTFd, FIT, DC, and PFH.
•Collaborate with leadership, program management, and cross-functional teams to plan and execute company strategy.
•Own the entire lifecycle of electronics and electrical systems from concept through production release, change requests, and ongoing support.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field
•8+ years of experience in electronics development
•Experience with product safety and compliance including ISO 13849-1, IEC 61508, IEC 60204-1, IEC 61800-5-1, IEC 62368-1
•Experience taking a product through compliance testing with UL/TÜV
•Competent in CAD tools including Altium or similar tools
