Key Responsibilities

  • •Construct and own an AI-forward UX research roadmap for Okta’s key product pillars at the intersection of Identity, Security, and AI.
  • •Lead foundational and evaluative research to inform strategic and tactical product decisions.
  • •Execute mixed-method studies using contextual inquiry/cognitive walkthroughs and quantitative rigor such as surveys, telemetry, and modeling.
  • •Integrate AI tools, prompt engineering, and agentic research workflows to accelerate research execution and quality.
  • •Collaborate cross-discipline to scope research problems, build executive alignment, and communicate high-impact research stories.

Key Requirements

  • •7+ years of hands-on UX research experience in complex B2B, developer, or enterprise software environments, driving product impact at Senior/Staff level.
  • •Strong mixed-methods capability across qualitative and quantitative UX research methodologies.
  • •Active daily practitioner of AI tools and prompt workflows to streamline research processes (e.g., synthesis and structuring unstructured data).
  • •Experience with products for developers, administrators, or technical audiences; security product experience is a strong plus.
  • •Master’s or Ph.D. in HCI, Cognitive Psychology, Computer Science, Data Science, Social Sciences, or equivalent industry experience.
