Key Responsibilities

  • •Receive, embed, and section tissue, including histological slide preparation and H&E staining.
  • •Construct Tissue Microarrays (TMA) and perform cell pellet processing.
  • •Prepare genomics-related samples, including sample receipt, tissue scrape, tissue annotation, and macrodissection.
  • •Coordinate compliant sample handover to genomics teams and support multidisciplinary translational pathology projects.
  • •Maintain laboratory equipment upkeep and accurately document activities in regulated systems in line with GCP, SOPs, and HTA requirements.

Key Requirements

  • •BSc degree in a relevant scientific discipline or equivalent experience.
  • •At least 1 year of experience in histology, translational pathology, tissue-based laboratory operations, or another regulated laboratory environment.
  • •Experience in histological sectioning, tissue handling, and laboratory record keeping.
  • •Knowledge of GCP regulations and compliant laboratory practices.
  • •Understanding of regulations for the ethical use and handling of human tissue samples.
