Job Summary

Produce detailed highway and drainage engineering designs and construction drawings within the GCC Development team. Ensure technical delivery of highway projects to meet US and/or international budget, quality, and programme constraints while collaborating with US lead design teams and local team leaders. Use highway design standards and 3D design software (e.g., Open Roads/In-Roads/Geopak, Civil 3D) and may support short-term secondment or visits to US offices to align with WSP methods.

Key Responsibilities

•Create detailed highway and drainage engineering designs and construction drawings for the GCC Development team.
•Ensure technical delivery of highway projects within budget, quality, and programme constraints for US and/or international markets.
•Apply US/UK highway standards and guidelines to plan and design deliverables across project stages.
•Coordinate with WSP’s US-based lead design teams and local team leaders to support schedule and resource utilization.
•Participate in short-term secondments and/or visits to WSP US offices to better understand WSP’s business and working methods.

Key Requirements

•Master of Science (preferably in engineering) or a bachelor’s degree in Civil/Transportation Engineering.
•Minimum 4 years’ working experience on infrastructure projects and detailed highway design.
•Applied knowledge of highway standards/specifications including AASHTO, DMRB, MUTCD, and FHWA.
•Proficiency with Open Roads, Inroads/In Roads, and/or Geopak, and Civil 3D (or similar design software).
•English communication skills and cultural awareness to work with other cultures.
