Key Responsibilities

  • •Install building automation systems and temperature control systems, including conduit, enclosures, wiring, and end devices.
  • •Prepare for on-site installation by reviewing building layouts, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials, and coordinating with other trades.
  • •Serve as direct customer contact and ensure customer satisfaction by diagnosing, repairing, and servicing equipment and systems at customer locations.
  • •Maintain inventory, company equipment, and complete job paperwork (daily time, progress, duration) with timely reporting and file maintenance.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma (or equivalent) and typically 2–5 years of experience in HVAC/controls; technical school or formal training preferred.
  • •Knowledge of low-voltage electricity and electronics (board-level troubleshooting), direct digital controls, and building control techniques.
  • •Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software and proficiency with handheld computers (smartphone, iPad).
  • •Current or future participation in an ABC electrical apprenticeship program is desired.
  • •Valid driver’s license for at least 12 months with no major or frequent traffic violations in the prior 3 years.
