Job Summary

Support Zurich’s Middle Markets Underwriting Business Unit as a Risk Engineering Consultant with Property and Casualty risk expertise. Conduct field engineering risk assessments and risk improvement services for prospect and bound accounts (primarily virtually with state travel). Provide underwriting engineering support, manage an account risk portfolio, and deliver advanced consultative services to identify exposures and assess loss-potential controls.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform field engineering risk assessments and risk improvement services for prospect and bound accounts.
•Provide engineering support to underwriting teams and attend client/broker meetings as needed.
•Manage account risk portfolio and provide account-level engineering to meet underwriting requirements.
•Provide advanced property and casualty consultative services, including identifying loss exposures and reviewing/assessing management program effectiveness.
•Develop customer service strategies to reduce losses and monitor delivery of account engineering services for timeliness and cost-effectiveness.

Salary: USD 100,200 - 164,100 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of experience in Risk Engineering area, or High School Diploma/equivalent and 8+ years, or a Zurich Certified Apprentice with an Associates degree and 6+ years in Risk Engineering.
•Experience working in a team environment.
•Intermediate knowledge of exposures and controls.
•Provide field engineering risk assessments and risk improvement services for prospect and bound accounts (may be virtual with required travel within the region).
•Provide engineering support to underwriting teams and attend client/broker meetings as needed.
