Job Summary

Join KKR’s Global Tax team in Boston and serve as a key technical resource on insurance tax matters for Global Atlantic and KKR’s sponsored insurance vehicles. You’ll lead insurance investment tax structuring and cross-border considerations, design sponsored vehicle structures, support reinsurance transactions, and help manage ongoing tax risk through operating guidelines and governance. Work closely with deal teams, legal, finance, and external advisors to optimize structures and support diligence and integration.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead tax structuring analysis for insurance company investments across asset classes to optimize structures for insurance company investors.
•Advise on U.S. cross-border tax considerations, including withholding tax optimization, tax treaties, and foreign tax credit strategies.
•Partner with deal teams, legal, finance, and external advisors to structure new investments and resolve complex tax issues.
•Provide tax planning and structuring support for KKR’s sponsored insurance vehicles, including new structures and ongoing governance.
•Develop and maintain operating guidelines to manage tax risks (e.g., permanent establishment and BEAT), and coordinate governance activities tied to compliance.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 130,000 - 165,000 annually

Key Requirements

•CPA, JD, LLM in Taxation or an equivalent professional credential is required.
•At least 7 years of relevant tax experience in a law firm, Big 4, insurance company, asset manager, or financial services organization.
•Strong experience in insurance/reinsurance, investment structuring, and international tax.
•Ability to assess complex tax issues and propose practical, commercially grounded solutions with strong analytical attention to detail.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across diverse teams and stakeholders while exercising sound judgment.
