Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead end-to-end delivery of data control implementation and day-to-day operation across business areas, ensuring adherence to agreed standards, timelines, and outcomes.
  • •Translate control designs into operational processes, procedures, and run-books that are executable, repeatable, and auditable at scale.
  • •Drive consistent control execution across operating locations and ensure evidence and artefacts meet Internal Audit, external audit, and regulatory review requirements.
  • •Own control performance management (MI, KPIs, control effectiveness measures) and run exception management from intake through triage, investigation, resolution, and closure.
  • •Lead, develop, and retain a high-performing semi-technical operations team, proactively manage operational risk, and ensure timely closure of audit and regulatory findings.

Key Requirements

  • •Strong knowledge of data governance and data management, including data quality, metadata, lineage, ownership, classification, privacy, and retention in a regulated environment.
  • •Proven operations leadership capability including service management, run-book discipline, capacity planning, quality assurance, and continuous improvement.
  • •Technical credibility to engage with engineers and data platform teams; ability to interrogate data and perform SQL/query-based investigation at an appropriate senior level.
  • •Strong audit and control mindset with experience preparing evidence and responding to audit and regulatory queries.
  • •Advanced stakeholder management and influencing skills, including delivery through matrixed organisations where formal authority is limited.
