Job Summary

Maintain and repair customer and company-owned pump, power, and HVAC equipment at a rental facility, using tech-supported work orders and diagnostic tools to identify root causes quickly. Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment, and air compressors. Troubleshoot failures both in the shop and on customer locations, maintain daily work documentation, and assist with equipment setup, training, and parts pickup/delivery.

Key Responsibilities

•Create, assign, and monitor work orders; track machine service intervals and order parts.
•Perform preventive maintenance and repairs for power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment, and/or oil-free air compressors.
•Diagnose equipment failures at the shop and on customer locations, and perform corrective repairs.
•Set up and operate equipment in the shop and on customer sites, working individually or with other technicians.
•Maintain daily paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed and assist with training and parts pickup/delivery as needed.

Key Requirements

•Must own tools applicable to the position and have advanced mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of tools.
•Experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, including inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
•Experience with calculating nominal/effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, and reading/understanding schematics.
•Superior customer service plus teamwork, and strong verbal/written communication skills.
•EPA 608 certification preferred; if not held, ability to obtain within 6–12 months of employment.
