Key Responsibilities

  • •Ensure on-time collections and that couriers leave and depart the station on schedule.
  • •Perform sorting rechecks and cargo/document checks (including stickers, air waybills, declaration letters, and airway bill details).
  • •Debrief and reconcile collection and delivery sheets; manage PODs, invoices, delivery/collection sheets, and follow up on outstanding documentation and queries.
  • •Monitor vehicles (cleanliness, daily vehicle checklist, two-way radios, tools) and report accidents, damages, and endorsements.
  • •Manage staffing and team performance—decide skeleton staff, coordinate vacations, monitor timekeeping/appearance, and support quarterly performance processes in coordination with supervisors.

Key Requirements

  • •Matric (Grade 12) or similar qualification and/or experience.
  • •Valid Code 10 Driver’s license and a valid Public Driver’s Permit (PDP).
  • •3 years’ experience as a ground courier.
  • •At least 1 year of experience in the logistics industry.
  • •Proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and local knowledge of areas/neighbourhoods.
