Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage fixed assets accounting, including recording additions/deletions/disposals, monthly depreciation, capitalization, fixed asset reporting, and IFRS disclosure notes.
  • •Execute periodic books closing in the financial system, validating closing entries and ensuring proper closure of the accounting period in line with internal controls and timelines.
  • •Perform GL account reconciliations, investigate reconciling items, coordinate resolution with stakeholders, and clear outstanding balances.
  • •Support quarterly financial statement substantiation with review/validation of balances and documentation to ensure completeness, accuracy, and audit readiness.
  • •Coordinate finance process improvement, system transformation initiatives, new product accounting schemas, insurance renewal, and support audits and regulatory reviews.

Key Requirements

  • •7–8 years of experience in finance/accounts functions, preferably in a bank or Big 4 accounting firm, including 5 years post-qualification experience.
  • •Strong knowledge of IFRS and the ability to prepare IFRS disclosure notes and supporting schedules.
  • •Experience managing GL reconciliation, investigating reconciling items, and ensuring timely clearance of outstanding balances.
  • •Proven ability to support period-end books closing in finance systems with validation of closing entries and adherence to internal controls and timelines.
  • •Experience supporting external/internal audits and regulatory reviews by preparing accurate schedules and documentation, and ensuring audit-ready submissions.
