Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve food and beverages to guests in a nightclub environment with a positive, friendly attitude.
  • •Take orders, suggestively sell beverages and menu items, and make recommendations while communicating orders to the bar via POS.
  • •Deliver drinks through large crowds, maintain line-of-sight/atmosphere control, and keep tables clean (including lifting/moving bus tubs up to 25 lbs).
  • •Maintain House of Blues safety and sanitation standards, including following housekeeping and SOPs and cleaning spills/obstacles.
  • •Provide responsible alcohol service: check IDs, refuse service to overly intoxicated guests, process comp/void checks per policy, and assist staff during special events.

Key Requirements

  • •Ability to work late hours with a flexible schedule.
  • •1+ year of high-volume cocktail experience and working knowledge of cocktail tray service, drink recipes, and garnishes.
  • •Experience using cocktail-related point-of-sales systems and handling guest transactions (cash/credit card/travelers checks).
  • •Responsible Alcohol Training Certification (or ability to pass training) and experience recognizing valid IDs.
  • •Experience interacting with people in a positive environment and in a live music environment; must be able to stand for long periods and lift/move up to 25 lbs.
