Job Summary

Troubleshoot, repair, re-commission, and maintain field instrumentation across power and desalination assets, including gas and steam turbines, waste heat boilers, and related auxiliaries. Attend to breakdowns and planned maintenance with minimal supervision, assess job needs, and use the computerized maintenance system to order spares and maintain maintenance records. Ensure compliance with safety and operational requirements, support RCFA for recurring issues, and provide on-the-job training for craftsmen.

Key Responsibilities

•Attend to power and desalination plant field instrumentation breakdowns and planned maintenance work with minimum direction and supervision.
•Assess allocated jobs and select necessary tools and equipment to complete maintenance.
•Use the computerized maintenance system to order spare parts and maintain records of completed maintenance work.
•Ensure maintenance is carried out according to safety procedures and plant operational requirements; report repeated breakdowns and assist in RCFA to resolve root causes.
•Provide on-the-job training to new craftsmen to equip them with skills to carry out planned maintenance repair work.

Key Requirements

•Higher secondary or diploma.
•Familiarity with maintenance tools and good knowledge of plant safety.
•Experience working in a power or desalination plant with exposure to maintenance and calibration of field instrumentation (pressure, temperature, level, and flow).
•Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic valve actuation systems, CO2 fire protection systems, and infrared gas detection systems.
•Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and manuals and have experience with electrical, electronics, computer, hydraulic, and pneumatic devices.
