Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate heavy trucks, tractor-trailers, and flatbeds to transport vehicles, equipment, and Class IX materiel.
  • •Support equipment turn-in operations by hauling assets from Army units and assist with loading, securing, and unloading using chains, binders, straps, and blocking/bracing.
  • •Conduct local and long-haul missions in compliance with Army movement requirements and DTR 4500.9-R.
  • •Perform PMCS vehicle inspections and report deficiencies; maintain driver logs, trip tickets, fuel records, and inspection sheets.
  • •Ensure completion of shipping/transport documents and comply with DOT regulations, Army safety standards, OSHA, and HAZMAT transport rules while updating TC-AIMS II and GCSS-Army when required.

Key Requirements

  • •Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL – Class A or B as required).
  • •HAZMAT endorsement (preferred/required if hauling hazardous materials).
  • •3–5 years of heavy truck driving experience; prior Army or contractor logistics experience preferred.
  • •Basic proficiency in English (reading and writing).
  • •Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC) and obtain Tier1/NACI (Public trust) background eligibility.
