Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and implement core RAG backend capabilities, including retrieval, reranking, context construction, prompt orchestration, response aggregation, Graph RAG patterns, and agentic search planning and tool/function calling.
  • •Build pipelines for multi-modal and multi-type data covering extraction/OCR, chunking, enrichment, embedding, and incremental re-indexing with rollback.
  • •Implement hybrid retrieval and ranking optimizations, including multi-stage recall, deduplication/diversity controls, graph-based retrieval strategies, and improved relevance/traceability.
  • •Develop grounded answer generation workflows with explicit support such as citations, quoted evidence, refusal/insufficient-evidence handling, and traceable “why this answer” outputs.
  • •Ensure security, compliance, data governance, and quality evaluation through access controls, audit logging, encryption/secrets management, and offline/online groundedness and latency metrics with A/B testing.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • •5+ years of backend engineering experience with strong proficiency in at least one mainstream backend stack (Python with FastAPI or Go).
  • •Solid understanding of RAG components and patterns, including chunking, embeddings, hybrid search, reranking, citations/attribution, and evaluation.
  • •Hands-on experience with containerisation and cloud-native engineering (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD) with production troubleshooting and performance tuning.
  • •Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to deliver under constraints across security, compliance, performance, and cost.
