Key Responsibilities

  • •On-site supervision of the Directional Drilling (DD) process, including well path projection to predetermined target coordinates.
  • •Ensure BHA components are assembled as planned, including correct make-up torque, doping, and handling.
  • •Use DD computer software to provide survey calculations, well profile plot updates, and accurate directional survey data to the client representative.
  • •Assist with completion of daily DD reports, BHA performance reports, service tickets, and required well data documentation.
  • •Interface with the MWD engineer to ensure BHA compatibility and maintain records of DD equipment, including inspection and layout for backload.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum of two years of field experience in Directional Drilling, L/MWD, or SDL.
  • •High school diploma or equivalent.
  • •Understand principles of Bottom Hole assembly (BHA) selection and directional drilling performance.
  • •Proficiency with directional drilling computer software for survey calculations and well path projections.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline is preferred.
