Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage HSE programs and initiatives to meet regulatory requirements and client needs, promoting safety culture across the PJM team and contractors.
  • •Embed site-specific contractor plans and safety requirements into project execution, ensuring correct hierarchy of controls.
  • •Support contractor safety oversight by developing JSAs/JHAs, reviewing high-risk permit activities (e.g., fall protection, LOTO, excavations, line breaking, crane and rigging), and preparing required documentation.
  • •Support contractor pre-qualification, onboarding, planning, and ongoing performance monitoring through daily field audits of active jobsites.
  • •Lead accident, incident, and near-miss reporting, recording, and investigation in line with company and client procedures; coach stakeholders on HSE tools, processes, and techniques.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma or GED with 5+ years of job-related experience.
  • •Experience in construction safety, including management of contractors and oversight of permitting and fall protection plans.
  • •Proficiency conducting audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
  • •Working knowledge of federal, state, and local health and safety, and environmental regulations, with experience dealing with regulatory agencies and compliance officers.
  • •Experience working in manufacturing, construction, or facility maintenance, plus strong oral and written communication skills.
