Key Responsibilities

  • •Engage in critical network and attack-related events for Akamai’s managed security customers in real time.
  • •Identify cyber-attacks and strategize/deploy mitigations to neutralize impact to end users.
  • •Perform advanced analysis to identify attacks and threats to customer digital properties and/or their business network.
  • •Communicate with customers regarding challenges and provide updates and results on mitigation and analysis.
  • •Innovate around tooling development and product enhancement for security operations.

Key Requirements

  • •3+ years of relevant industry experience, primarily in networking OR Akamai Platform OR web application security.
  • •Excellent customer-facing skills and ability to work effectively with others during incidents.
  • •In-depth understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP, IP, and UDP.
  • •Knowledge of how the internet works, including DNS and HTTP.
  • •Understanding of OWASP Top 10 and how compromises relate to internet service attacks.
