Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop, maintain, and improve safety standards and procedures for gas equipment, chemical substances, and process safety.
  • •Conduct risk assessments for gas equipment and chemical handling/processes and drive corrective actions.
  • •Ensure compliance with relevant laws and standards including labor safety and health, chemical substance management, fire services law, and high-pressure gas safety law.
  • •Perform safety audits and inspections on-site, analyze accident/near-miss cases, and plan prevention measures.
  • •Plan and deliver gas safety and chemical safety education/training for employees and contractors; support safety evaluation/approval processes for new chemicals, gas equipment, and process changes.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • •Knowledge or practical experience in EHS work applicable to chemistry, process, or related fields.
  • •Japanese: JLPT N3 or higher (JLPT N2 or higher welcomed).
  • •Knowledge of regulations related to labor safety and health, high-pressure gas safety, and chemical substance management.
  • •Practical experience in risk assessment, incident investigation, and corrective actions (and related EHS qualifications welcomed).
