Key Responsibilities

  • •Work within the framework set by the assigned teacher and Head of Inclusion/SENCO, supporting the student in lessons and providing feedback on learning and behaviour.
  • •Supervise and facilitate individual support for named students, supporting IEP/pupil passport targets and ensuring safety and access to learning activities.
  • •Provide informal progress and achievement feedback to named students under the teacher’s guidance.
  • •Record and share concerns and positive feedback about student welfare and achievements with the teacher, colleagues, and supporting professionals.
  • •Communicate with parents via emails and reports based on IEP/pupil passport targets and outcomes, and maintain IEP/pupil passport files and related documents.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum High School education in English and Maths.
  • •Experience or aptitude working with students with special educational needs.
  • •Previous teaching or teaching assistant experience preferred.
  • •Good levels of written and spoken English.
  • •Enthusiasm, commitment, confidentiality, empathy, and ability to work well as part of a team.
