Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the approach for transmission line engineering design, calculations, reviews, and technical advisory support for high-voltage and grid-scale projects.
  • •Support and lead project delivery excellence by leading work packages and ensuring technical verification tasks are completed using AECOM standards and processes.
  • •Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across transmission, distribution, and related engineering disciplines (including structural and civil) to deliver technically sound solutions.
  • •Build and maintain client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor on transmission line design work packages with high-quality communication and service.
  • •Apply PLS-CADD tools (including CADD, Tower and Pole applications) and mentor graduate and early-stage engineers to develop transmission-related technical and project capabilities.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years of transmission line engineering experience focused on design across concept, tender, and detailed design stages for complex transmission and distribution projects.
  • •Experience leading work package and project delivery for grid-scale transmission design projects, aligning outcomes to client standards.
  • •Strong client engagement and communication skills, including advising and building long-term relationships with technical client teams.
  • •Proficiency with PLS-CADD (including PLS-TOWER and PLS-POLE), with competence in AutoCAD and Neara beneficial.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Structural, or related Engineering, ideally with postgraduate qualification; Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or equivalent preferred.
