Key Responsibilities

  • •Run the training centre’s day-to-day operations, including facilities, scheduling, budget, and team.
  • •Lead and line-manage the training team.
  • •Own the centre’s quality-management system and lead internal quality assurance, sampling and verifying trainers’ assessments.
  • •Own centre accreditation as the named point of contact for awarding bodies, managing approvals and ongoing audits.
  • •Build and maintain the compliance framework (health & safety, safeguarding, data protection, equality & diversity, malpractice and appeals), including leading health & safety across live practical work.

Key Requirements

  • •Level 4 Internal Quality Assurance qualification (IQA/V1, or equivalent) to verify assessment decisions across the centre.
  • •Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET).
  • •A recognised assessing qualification (TAQA, CAVA, or equivalent).
  • •Experience managing a training centre/workshop or similar technical/vocational operation, including managing people and owning a budget.
  • •Health & safety leadership experience across technical or practical work.
