Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and maintain data pipelines to ingest data from multiple sources into Google Cloud environments.
  • •Implement data transformation for cleansing, normalization, streaming schema validation, and aggregation to ensure data quality.
  • •Develop and maintain data models and schemas using CloudSQL, BigQuery, and Cloud Spanner for efficient storage and retrieval.
  • •Build data warehouses/data lakes using Google Cloud services such as BigQuery.
  • •Integrate data from multiple sources (e.g., Managed Airflow, Dataflow, Dataform), manage data governance, and optimize/monitor performance while troubleshooting issues.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of data engineering experience on cloud platforms, plus a senior/lead engineering background.
  • •Strong proficiency in Google Cloud services including Spanner and BigQuery (and Cloud Composer or equivalent).
  • •ETL/integration experience with tools/frameworks such as Spark, Dataflow, and Cloud Composer/Airflow.
  • •Programming proficiency in Python, Java, and SQL for data manipulation, scripting, and automation.
  • •Experience with data modeling, data warehousing concepts, and data governance (including security, privacy, and regulations like GDPR/CCPA).
