Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide technical supervision of the Technical Quality Review Process during design development and detailed design phases in accordance with the Design Quality Management Plan (DQMP).
  • •Oversee quality-related aspects of technical deliverables for major project submissions and coordinate technical support staff as needed.
  • •Lead quality assurance and quality control functions to ensure design, procurement, and installation meet client and AECOM quality standards.
  • •Develop and maintain project-specific Design Quality Management Plan and the Engineering Services During Construction Plan, including training for the design team.
  • •Evaluate supplier capabilities and performance, conduct investigations and quality testing, and provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers, technicians, and inspectors.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering) plus 8+ years managing quality for infrastructure design projects.
  • •P.Eng. in Ontario.
  • •Certified ISO 9001 Lead Auditor.
  • •Experience managing design quality assurance/quality control on large infrastructure or transit design projects (e.g., LRT, SkyTrain, rail, or major roadway).
  • •Strong understanding of multidisciplinary design coordination and quality workflows, including quality management systems for tracking NCRs, audits, and corrective actions.
