Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate a vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws and safety regulations.
  • •Transport loads safely and on time over required routes, obeying traffic laws and safety requirements.
  • •Maneuver truck and trailer into loading/unloading areas and follow loading crew signals.
  • •Load/unload goods and materials using specialized equipment as needed; return equipment to designated areas.
  • •Maintain delivery paperwork (invoices, shipping bills of lading) and perform routine truck service (e.g., checking oil/water/fuel/air) while reporting malfunctions.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) or chauffeur’s license appropriate for the vehicle/vehicle weight, as required by state.
  • •Pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state DOT regulations, and complete a DOT physical.
  • •Be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicle.
  • •Ability to remain focused in a busy environment and communicate professionally with customers and staff at delivery points.
  • •Be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds, sit for prolonged periods in a trailer cab, and travel frequently.
