Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage day-to-day cargo operations at the SAS cargo facility and operational staff on duty.
  • •Ensure warehouse functions are performed, including pallet building, import breakdown, correct racking, and storage of special cargo per customer guidelines.
  • •Handle special cargoes in line with IATA and customer standards (DG/HUM/AVI/PER etc.) and ensure health and safety requirements are followed.
  • •Ensure airline SLAs are met, including cargo close-out/MCT times and any special handling requirements; manifesting and flight closing within agreed time frames.
  • •Identify operational problem areas and implement corrective actions; liaise with airlines and coordinate with the cargo quality team to address customer issues and special instructions.

Key Requirements

  • •Graduate-level education.
  • •Minimum 8 years experience in cargo operations.
  • •Minimum 4 years experience at a supervisory level.
  • •Minimum 4 years experience handling special cargoes (VAL/DGR/AVI/HUM/PES/PER).
  • •Experience with freighter and wide-bodied aircraft operations (pallet building/load planning).
