Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) and DOT inspections, including follow-up repairs for trucks and trailers in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair electrical, brake, cooling, air conditioning, diesel steering, engines (gas/diesel), transmissions, clutches, differentials, and related systems.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair trailer systems including brakes, air lines, auxiliary pumps and engines, liftgates, brake chambers, and related repairs such as welding/fabrication when needed.
  • •Inspect/test defective equipment and road test vehicles to diagnose malfunctions, using appropriate tools and instruments.
  • •Maintain service vehicle and equipment, manage parts inventory with reconciliation, and complete DOT documentation and Repair Orders (including uploading photos) per company standards.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field (or alternative combination such as education/certification or 5 years’ experience).
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification T8 (PMI) within eighteen (18) months.
  • •Successfully complete and pass a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical (or submit a DOT medical card with sufficient remaining validity).
  • •Be at least 21 years or older and hold a valid state-of-residence driver’s license; complete a 3 YR MVR review and maintain a Driver Qualification File.
