Job Summary

Join WSP’s Bridge & Infrastructure Inspection Team in New Jersey and help deliver bridge and sign structure inspection projects. You’ll serve as an Assistant Team Leader, perform structural engineering and field inspections, support bridge load ratings, and develop plans and sketches using Visio and MicroStation. You’ll collaborate with engineers across concurrent projects, assist with research and preliminary repair calculations, maintain documentation, and help prepare proposals and scope-of-work.

Key Responsibilities

•Contribute to bridge and infrastructure inspection projects, including assistant team leader support for bridge and sign structure inspections.
•Perform structural engineering tasks and field inspections.
•Support preparation of bridge load ratings and preliminary repair calculations and structural analysis.
•Develop plans and sketches using Visio and MicroStation.
•Collect, organize, and maintain project documentation and support preparation of cost proposals and scope-of-work documents.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering, or equivalent.
•1 to 3 years of experience with bridge and/or ancillary structure inspection projects.
•Engineer-in-Training certification, or ability to obtain within one year of hire.
•Valid driver’s license and successful completion of a Motor Vehicle Record check.
•Physical ability for continuous field work, including working at heights and in confined spaces, and ability to travel occasionally (overnight stays possible).
