Key Responsibilities

  • •Source opportunities by mapping and landscaping companies and sectors to drive top-of-funnel outreach and relationship development.
  • •Lead investment execution, including due diligence, financial analysis, target evaluation, investment memos, and oversight of legal negotiations and deal execution.
  • •Collaborate on business development by identifying and scoping opportunities and sectors, including development and presentation of investment theses.
  • •Monitor and support portfolio planning by leading periodic data collection, contributing to portfolio reporting and artifacts, and performing ad hoc portfolio analyses related to management and compliance.
  • •Provide mentorship and partnership across the Ventures organization and serve as a cultural ambassador for the team and Capital One.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 179,700 - 205,100 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree.
  • •At least 3 years of professional experience in finance, strategy, or technology.
  • •At least 4+ years of experience in venture capital, technology product management, private equity, investment banking, software engineering, AI, startup operations, or technology strategy consulting.
  • •Knowledge of startup technology development lifecycles from equity financing through monetization.
  • •Demonstrated ability to source, evaluate and execute venture capital transactions.
