Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage assigned loan portfolio credit quality, credit oversight for new loan business, and credit approvals within delegated authority.
  • •Review credit approval memoranda for risk rating appropriateness, accuracy of terms/conditions, risk/return, repayment sources, and highlighted key risks.
  • •Meet with Relationship Management and Portfolio Management to evaluate new loan opportunities and changes to existing loans, determining strategic/economic fit and acceptable risk.
  • •Conduct quarterly portfolio reviews emphasizing risk rating trends and compliance with covenants and reporting requirements; identify weaknesses and guide remediation.
  • •Mentor RM/PM professionals on underwriting, portfolio management, negotiation, and loan structuring/documentation, and lead or support credit strategy initiatives and committees.

Key Requirements

  • •Experienced credit practitioner/lender with venture & growth experience and strong product knowledge, analysis, and modelling skills.
  • •Proven track record assessing credit solutions and managing internal and external stakeholders with strong credit process execution.
  • •Excellent knowledge and application of credit policies, risk ratings, and loan documentation.
  • •Proven ability to lead due diligence, structuring, underwriting, and documentation processes for debt transactions independently.
  • •Proven portfolio management expertise, able to manage multiple deal processes and provide guidance to less experienced staff.
