Job Summary

Serve as a technical lead for Patriot GEM-T Manufacturing Engineering, supporting a large team of manufacturing engineers. Drive problem-solving for manufacturing operations and develop and maintain Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs) covering assembly instructions, routing, labor standards, and tool/fixture designs. Lead continuous improvement to reduce cycle time, ergonomic risk, and costs, using CORE principles and data-driven decision making. Use manufacturing systems (including Microsoft and SAP) and support production through engineering transitions and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

•Act as a technical lead for Patriot GEM-T Manufacturing, supporting manufacturing engineers in day-to-day work.
•Develop, maintain, and review Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs) including assembly instructions, routing, labor standards, and tool/fixture designs.
•Support manufacturing areas through process troubleshooting and incorporation of engineering changes into MDPs.
•Drive continuous improvement to improve cycle time, reduce ergonomic risk, automate, and reduce direct and indirect costs using CORE principles and data-driven decisions.
•Provide real-time technical support and manufacturing engineering expertise across the value stream to improve process and product designs, and lead/coordinate projects and improvement efforts.

Key Requirements

•Typically requires a STEM degree and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
•5+ years of manufacturing experience.
•Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.
•Detailed working knowledge of CMES, PRISM and PDM.
•Previous experience with technical drawing interpretation, GD&T, and configuration management practices.
