Job Summary

Oversee the technical management and operational readiness of assigned vessels, ensuring safe, efficient performance in full compliance with class and statutory requirements. Manage daily maintenance and repairs, budgeting for technical elements, survey scheduling, and dry-dock specifications—often coordinating with repair yards, subcontractors, and administration. Maintain technical documentation, support planned preventive maintenance through the PMS system, and provide technical advice to vessel masters and chief engineers.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide overall management and technical operations oversight for assigned vessels, including daily maintenance and repair.
•Ensure company-owned vessels are operated safely and economically and fully comply with class and statutory regulations.
•Maintain classification status and send survey status reports to vessels monthly.
•Support and monitor planned preventive maintenance, ensuring the planned maintenance system is operated and reported per company standards and procedures.
•Oversee repairs and dry-dockings: prepare dry-dock specifications, supervise repair completion, coordinate with repair yards/subcontractors/class/administration, and ensure technical information is updated in the PMS system.

Key Requirements

•Unlimited STCW ’95 Chief Engineer’s license (Motor) for sea-going vessels.
•Engineering degree/diploma in mechanics or electromechanical engineering.
•Ability to manage daily maintenance and repair, including budgeting and survey scheduling for assigned vessels.
•Ensure vessels are operated in compliance with Class and Statutory regulations and maintain classification status.
•Experience coordinating dry-dock specifications, repairs, and updates in the vessel PMS system.
