Key Responsibilities

  • •Monitor plant work activities to ensure safety and environmental compliance and alignment with best practices.
  • •Lead workplace incident, injury, illness, and near-miss investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • •Manage workers’ compensation claims, modified work programs, and return-to-work processes.
  • •Oversee iCare reporting and ensure timely, accurate submission of safety incidents and observations.
  • •Lead the Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC), site inspections, risk assessments, safety orientations, and ongoing training initiatives.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 52,000 - 71,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Post-secondary degree in Safety, with 1–3 years of environmental, health, and/or safety experience in a manufacturing facility.
  • •Working knowledge of safety and environmental management, including claims management experience.
  • •Ability to conduct incident investigations, root cause analysis, risk assessments, and develop Safe Work Practices (standard work).
  • •Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Windows-based systems.
  • •Demonstrated interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills with the ability to build partnerships cross-functionally.
