Key Responsibilities

  • •Accurately locate and mark company facilities (transmission & distribution systems, service lines, and other facilities).
  • •Read and interpret system maps and maintain accurate Company maps and records for damage prevention.
  • •Coordinate with Company crews and outside contractors for needed re-marking and to prevent damage.
  • •Investigate natural gas facility damages to determine root causes and report suspected damages.
  • •Maintain accurate records and reports to comply with Company and regulatory requirements; address safety and encroachment issues.

Salary: USD 26.5 hourly

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED with 2 years of experience in natural gas, damage prevention, service, construction and maintenance, and/or pipeline operations.
  • •Must obtain and maintain minimum Operator Qualifications (OQs) and required classroom training/certifications within six months, and maintain a valid driver’s license per Company standards.
  • •Ability to communicate, persuade, and/or influence internal and external customers with strong interpersonal skills.
  • •Ability to use the Company’s internet/intranet, take and upload digital photos of marking activity, and use systems for data entry, reference, and retrieval.
  • •As a safety-sensitive position, must pass pre and post-employment DOT/PHMSA drug testing and complete MVR background checks.
