Key Responsibilities

  • •Architect and guide scalable, long-lasting systems in partnership with multiple teams to align work with a coherent technical strategy.
  • •Lead architecture reviews and design discussions across several projects, making technical judgment calls when context or seniority is missing.
  • •Unblock engineers by debugging hard issues and clearing the path when teams are stuck, even outside formal ownership.
  • •Stay hands-on by shipping production code regularly and setting the standard for AI-paired delivery quality.
  • •Identify systemic risks and technical debt early, and drive cross-team investment to address them.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years building production software with a track record owning architecture and technical direction beyond a single team or project.
  • •Lead system design for scalable, reliable production infrastructure, not just feature delivery.
  • •Full-stack credibility for architecture reviews across the stack, with depth in backend (TypeScript, Node.js, Postgres, Redis, NATS) and/or UI (React, React Native).
  • •Fluency with AI-paired delivery (Claude Code, Cursor, or equivalent agents) and judgment on where AI should accelerate vs. require human checks.
  • •Demonstrated mentorship and strong direct communication to explain complex architectural tradeoffs to engineers, PMs, and leadership.
